About
Improvising From the Gut with Kevin Mullaney Learn to begin scenes by observing and connecting with your scene partners and trusting your gut. By owning your reactions and provoking reactions in your scene partner, you'll build exciting, unpredictable scenes with strong emotional games. The festival session focuses on impulsive emotional responses that become character games. TEACHER BIO: Kevin Mullaney is the former Artistic Director of the UCB Theatre in NYC, where he directed shows including the Swarm's *Slow Waltz Around Rage Mountain* — the show in which the term "monoscene" was coined. He created Cage Match (which still runs in multiple cities) and hosted the Improv Resource Center Podcast.
