Comedy Shows in Minneapolis
Minneapolis has one of the Midwest's most established comedy traditions, with a scene known for strong writing and an audience willing to follow a comic into unusual territory. Acme Comedy Company has been part of that ecosystem since 1991, bringing national performers into its North Loop basement while giving local comedians stage time.
Minnesota comedy often mixes politeness with something much stranger happening underneath. Winters, passive aggression, family, Scandinavian and Midwestern culture, politics, relationships, and the peculiar habits people develop after months indoors can all become material.
