Comedy Shows in Phoenix
Phoenix's rapid growth has helped create an increasingly busy comedy market serving the entire Valley. Touring comedians regularly include the region on their schedules, while local comics have developed a community that reaches Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and beyond.
Arizona gives comedians a distinctive collection of subjects: desert life, extreme heat, snowbirds, retirees, suburban sprawl, golf, transplants, Southwestern culture, and the strange decisions people make when the temperature reaches triple digits. Because so many people in Phoenix came from somewhere else, the scene benefits from influences from around the country.
