Freestyle 101 w/ Carter Deems An immersive freestyle rap course taught by Carter Deems. If you have ever wanted to learn the basics of freestyle rap, but didn’t know where to start, then this class is for you. This course teaches the fundamentals of freestyle in a no pressure environment while incorporating different types of lyrical exercises and games. Carter was a cast member on the improv show Wild ‘N Out, a writer for Epic Rap Battles of History and he has been a professional battle rapper for the past 18 years. Teacher Bio: Carter Deems is a standup comic from Atlanta, Georgia.  He was a cast member on the MTV show Wild ‘N Out and a writer on the TBS show Drop The Mic.  He was also a writer on the Emmy nominated series Epic Rap Battles of History.  In 2025, Carter won the Atlanta’s Funniest Competition at the Helium Comedy Club.  Carter has also made appearances on CNN, Funny Or Die, NPR, Bravo TV and Snoop Dogg’s Gladiator School.
